North African Destinations: Tunisia,
Morocco,
Egypt
and Eilat
Tunisia, Africa
The sun-drenched country of Tunisia is fast becoming a hugely
popular Mediterranean destination, combining beautiful powdery
sandy beaches with a wonderfully exotic North African culture
and atmosphere. The fascinating sights, sounds, flavours and
aromas of the markets and bazaars make for an unforgettable
holiday experience, whilst inland you'll find enchanting traditional
towns and villages on the fringes of the Sahara Desert.

Hammamet
Nicknamed the garden resort due to its orange and lemon groves
that scent the evening air as you stroll along the promenade
Hamammet has been sympathetically developed as a holiday resort.
Many of its cafes and nightclubs have a trendy edge to them
and the choice of restaurants is plentiful. But despite this
it has tucked away quiet shaded avenues to wander in and areas
of the medina where life carries on away from the bustle of
modern daily life.
Mahdia
Mahdia is a relatively new Tunisian resort and the ancient
town, protected by medina walls, remains fairly unchanged by
visitors. Life lazily swims around the shady squares and cafes.
Jutting out on a rocky peninsula around 50km along the coast,
south from Sousse, life in the little fishing port of Mahdia
stays regulated by the sea.
Port El Kantaoui
Port El Kantaoui is a modern Tunisian resort built in the dazzling
white Mediterranean style centred on a ritzy 340-berth marina
moored with expensive boats and yachts. If you want to see how
the international yachting folk live and daydream for a few
minutes that one of the fabulous yachts is yours - Port El Kantaoui
is the place to come.
Sousse
Sousse is the third largest city in Tunisia and the country's
most popular resort. It has lots to offer: endless beaches of
white sand, shops and low-key nightlife in abundance, a fantastic
medina (old town), a wide range of restaurants, distinctly beautiful
monuments, historical sites and a museum with some of the best
preserved Roman mosaics you'll ever see. Copyright

Morocco,
Africa
In Morocco, years of French colonisation have produced a wonderful
cosmopolitan ambience, where open-air markets and bazaars are
very much part of the alluring Moroccan culture. There are stunning
golden sandy beaches at many resorts, so enjoy the exotic North
African sights and sounds, and if you like your food and drink,
you're sure to find the local delicacies particularly mouth-watering!
Agadir
Agadir is Morocco's premier beach resort, with almost year-round
sunshine and a spectacular ten kilometre-long sandy beach. There's
plenty to keep you occupied, from watersports to camel rides,
and a pretty town centre full of flower-lined boulevards, shops
and pavement cafes. Copyright My Travel

Egypt, Africa
The Nile meanders silently through Egypt past some of the most
ancient and beautiful monuments in the world. Much of the scenery
you'll see in this wonderful African country has remained unchanged
for literally thousands of years - there's a long and breathtaking
history here, and the fascinating combination of age-old culture
and superb resorts make Egypt an ideal holiday destination!

Sharm El Sheik
Nestled between the national park of Ras Mohammed and the calm
shores of the Red Sea, Sharm el-Sheikh is the jewel of the Sinai
Peninsula. For many visitors, the most stunning scenery of this
region is underwater in the colourful reefs encircling the peninsula.
As one of the world's most extraordinary diving destinations,
you can snorkel or dive in an underwater playground of coral
gardens, shipwrecks and azure blue waters.
Hurghada
Hurghada is virtually a purpose-built resort developed around
a water sports industry that you'd find difficult to beat anywhere
else in the world. This part of the Red Sea coast is rich in
stunningly beautiful underwater flora and fauna, and the warm
water is home to a myriad of tropical fish and coral reefs that
live out of the view of anyone without access to either scuba
gear or a glass-bottomed boat. Thankfully, both these activities
are both available in abundance, as are many other aquatic pursuits
over, on and below sea level. If there's much to do during the
day, then there's even more to do during the night. Hurghada
comes alive with bustling bars, restaurants and clubs, and attracts
a younger clientele, although revellers of all ages certainly
won't feel out of place. Copyright My Travel
